The Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association (MNAPABA) appreciates your friendship and membership to our organization. We thank you for your patience as we have adapted and worked to transform our programming to meet the challenges of the past several years. We will be celebrating the past year and ringing in the new year at our Gala on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. We are very excited to celebrate the evening with our members, guests, and supporters in-person this year!

As we have navigated the unexpected challenges and ever-changing environment of the last couple of years, we have reflected on the things that matter most to us - our friends and family, our communities, and the well-being of the places we call home. This past year, our organization has focused on providing opportunities for our members to foster relationships, build connections to expand their networks, and celebrate our accomplishments and progress at a time when the work that lies ahead can feel overwhelming. We are looking forward to spending an evening celebrating with the community of members, supporters, and friends that give us all the strength and resilience we lean on as we move forward, together.

Keeping our focus on building community, this year, the theme for our Gala is “Building Bridges: Connecting Our Past, Present, and Future.” Our keynote speaker is ThaoMee Xiong, the Executive and Network Director of the Coalition of Asian American Leaders (“CAAL”). ThaoMee will be speaking about her experience as an immigrant, her work advocating for underserved communities, and what it means to her to connect with the past and look forward to the future.
